The Morning Excitement: Getting Ready
The day began at the Forge, where both Nicole and Chris were preparing for their big day. I started by photographing the beautiful details—bouquets by Ruth Milton-Jones, bursting with colour, handwritten vows, sparkling rings, and all the special accessories. Chris and his groomsmen were full of energy, sharing laughs as they put on their suits. Meanwhile, Nicole and her bridal party were busy with makeup by the amazing Kirsty Rowlands and hair by the talented Anna Williams, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. Some of my favourite shots were the emotional moments when Nicole revealed her dress to her bridesmaids and mother.
An Outdoor Ceremony in the Walled Gardens
Fairyhill's walled gardens provided a stunning backdrop for Nicole and Chris's outdoor ceremony. The weather was perfect, and the personalised vows they exchanged were truly moving. After the ceremony, we gathered on the lush lawn for group photos with family and the bridal party. The love and happiness in the air made for some truly beautiful pictures.
Romantic Photos at Rhossili
For their couple portraits, we ventured to Rhossili, a breathtaking spot with sweeping views over Llangennith Bay. Despite a sudden burst of wind and rain at the cliff top, the dramatic weather added a unique touch to the photos. We then returned to Fairyhill for more intimate couple portraits by the picturesque bridge over the river.
Elegant Reception Details and Memorable Speeches
The K-room at Fairyhill was elegantly decorated with white and peach flowers, accented with burgundy and gold. The details were stunning, and I captured every bit of it, including the stunning cake. The speeches were a highlight of the evening—Nicole's mother gave a heartfelt tribute, Nicole's Maid of Honour gave an emotional speech in honour of the bride, the best man had everyone laughing with his hilarious stories about Chris, and Chris’s own speech was a perfect mix of humor and sincerity.
