Gemma and Gruff share a kiss during the Golden Hour at Oldwalls Gower

Gemma & Gruff's beautiful wedding at Oldwalls Gower was a day filled with love, friends, family and a fur baby. Their sweet pup Harry was a big part of their day, and after having met him at the couple's pre wedding shoot, I knew they wanted to include him in the day as much as possible. He was walked down the aisle by Gemma's Bridesman and took a starring role in their couple portraits.

Gemma started the day getting ready at Mulberry House, where she and her girls were dolled up by the amazing Sarah Marie Hair and Katie Lancey, Gower Glow. As always I started with setting up some beautiful detail shots of Gemma's dress, bouquet, jewellery, perfume and shoes. These images are a beautiful way to start, they set the scene for the whole style of the wedding. The rest of the bridal preparation images are candids, showing hair and makeup being perfected. One of my favourites here is the image of Gemma's flower girl, her niece Evie, having her lipstick applied by Katie - the perfect pout!

Their ceremony was bilingual in Welsh and English, giving it a really personal touch. I love the images just before the couple's first kiss - the elation on their faces as they realise they have just tied the knot is just amazing to see.

Following the ceremony we headed outside for confetti and group photos. We took a break indoors to let the rain showers pass and enjoy some drinks and canapés before continuing with some family and bridal party photos.

We then spent some time getting gorgeous portraits of Gemma and Gruff with their gorgeous dog Harry. How gorgeous does he look sitting between them? The lake at Oldwalls was the perfect backdrop for some beautiful romantic images of the couple together.

The marquee at Oldwalls looked spectacular with the couple's choice of elegant white and green florals for their tables with sage green signage. It's so important to capture beautiful images of the decor at the wedding, after all you have spent so much time and effort choosing and designing the look of your special day.

The speeches at this wedding were something else! Gemma's dad made a heartwarming speech, followed by a lovely speech from the groom Gruff and another by Gemma's Bridesman. The two best men performed a hilarious medley of songs about the bride and groom, which made for some great reaction photos from guests.

Following the reception, we took advantage of the low sun over the Oldwalls lake to capture some romantic golden hour portraits of the couple.

The evening party at this wedding was so much fun. With entertainment from the amazing Magic Ash, fireworks and a good old boogie on Oldwalls newly refurbished dance floor.

As always I worked alongside some incredible suppliers on this wedding, whose links you can find below:
