One of my favourite venues to shoot as a Swansea Wedding Photographer is the King Arthur Hotel. Aimee and Rob's wedding day started in the cottages alongside the King Arthur, where Aimee and her bride tribe were getting ready together with the help of makeup artist Jody Amner and hair stylist Bethan Emlyn.

Aimee got herself ready a little earlier because part of her plan for the morning was to have a first look with Rob, an intimate moment for them to share together before they got swept up in the emotion and whirlwind of the day ahead. It was amazing to be able to capture their first reactions seeing one another before they walked down the aisle.

Their ceremony took place in the gorgeous Avalon at the King Arthur, with it's wall of fairy lights - it's so pretty to photograph! They had a beautiful flower arch under which Rob and Aimee had a very dramatic first kiss!

Following the ceremony we headed outside. I like to make sure everyone gets a chance to mingle and have a drink to relax a little before getting any of the formal photos done. Up to the roof of the building I went to get a big group photo of all the guests, and then created a confetti tunnel for Aimee and Rob to walk through. We then did some family group photos.

I love to spend extra time with the bridesmaids and groomsmen to capture some fun and natural images as a group. Aimee's girls wore different shades of pastel dresses, which brought such a gorgeous colourful element to these images. We headed down to the gardens at the back of the King Arthur to use the beautiful greenery for the backdrop.

It was then time for the couple's portraits. We had practised for these images at the couple's pre wedding shoot a few weeks before the big day so I knew that Aimee and Rob would rock this part of the day with ease, but let me tell you they absolutely smashed it! They were so natural with each other that the romantic gorgeousness just flowed - I walked back up the path with a huge smile knowing we had just captured the most stunning images of this beautiful couple.

The charming, rustic Avalon room was decorated with gorgeous pastel shade candles and spring flowers. Speeches were delivered by the Father of the Bride, the bride and groom and the Best Man, compared by a family friend. Plenty of laughs and a few tears from guests made for some awesome speech reaction images.

Following the speeches we went out on to the lawn to take advantage of the evening sunshine and capture some gorgeous golden hour photos. Rob twirled Aimee in the sunlight and I think I did a good job of capturing their easy smiles and laughs together. We took a few more fun bridesmaid photos to show the girls' amazing bond - these are some of my favourites of the day!

We then headed in for dancing and cake cutting to round off Aimee and Rob's amazing wedding day at the King Arthur Hotel.
