It was my first time shooting at the beautiful Talljohn's House in Brecon last November for the wedding of Sara and Dave. What a time to be shooting here, the grounds of this country house are perfect for wedding portraits in the autumn with large trees that had yellow, red and orange leaves. This was an intimate wedding of around 30 guests, a beautiful celebration of love between this gorgeous couple and their nearest and dearest.

The couple chose a simple elegant look for their wedding with sage green and white throughout, the room adorned with green foliage and candles.

I started bridal preparation photos in the main house where Sara and her two daughters were getting ready upstairs with the amazing Charlotte from Beautystyle UK. The great thing about a venue like Talljohn's is that both bridal parties can get ready on site, so I was able to pop over and take photos of the boys getting ready as well.

As I was photographing the barn before the ceremony, I noticed a little friend was flitting about inside - a robin. Well of course I made it my mission to get a nice close up shot of him and I succeeded as he landed on top of the couple's order of the day sign. He remained in the room during the whole ceremony!

The gorgeous floral arch used in the ceremony was by Fidelis Events and the bouquets were by Lovelily Florists.

After the ceremony I arranged the guests to throw confetti before moving to the games room for welcome drinks and canapés.

The couple's bridal party were made up of their children and their partners, plus Richard who walked Sara down the aisle. Sara had told me in our pre wedding meeting that she absolutely loved more natural group photos rather than anything too formal. So we spent a good amount of time getting some fun shots of the whole group - as you'll see below we did have quite a giggle doing them!

Hang tight we're getting to the best part now! My favourite part of any wedding, the couple portraits. We were spoiled for choice at this absolutely stunning venue, which has a beautiful swing, a walled orchard, beautiful large trees and of course the exquisite Talljohn's house itself. Sara and Dave's love for one another absolutely shone true in these images, they were tender and absolutely at ease with one another, making for some stunning images.

The couple chose to use the intimate space at the granary room for their reception. It was timelessly decorated with candles, fairy lights, white flowers and eucalyptus.

I worked with some incredible suppliers on this wedding, whose links you can find below. Give them a follow to keep up with their work:
